GPRS Modem GGM-20 is the basic element of the system for connecting measurement, monitoring and control equipment to a remote monitoring and control center via a GPRS connection. The modem offers the ability to connect equipment at the plant level via a serial or Ethernet interface.

Connection of process equipment in the control center with GPRS modems GGM-20 is realized through the KM2M concentrator, which connects the local network of the center with the Internet and the GPRS network via a protected communication path. In the VPN network system, the data transfer takes place according to IEC 60870-5-104 protocol
